The Game Is Over

— Christ Has Won

Revelation chapters 19 through 22 are not merely a happy ending. They are the conclusion of history, the final verdict of the universe. The closing scenes of Scripture declare this with absolute clarity:

“The game is over. Christ has won.”

Whatever you may be struggling with today—whether illness, broken relationships, sin, or addiction—remember this:the final chapter has already been written, and its ending is victory.

1. The Return of the King (Revelation 19:11–16)

John sees heaven opened.A rider on a white horse appears. His name is Faithful and True.

He is no longer the baby in a manger, but Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

He comes riding a white horse of victory, and from His mouth comes a sharp sword with which He judges the nations.

People often ask,“When will Jesus return?”

But the more important question is this:“Are you ready?”

His first coming was for salvation. His second coming is for judgment.

This is not a negotiation. It is war.

Yet the war is already decided, because the beast and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire.

2. The Final Defeat of Satan (Revelation 20)

In chapter 20, Satan is boundand finally cast into the lake of fire and sulfur.

There are many debates about this chapter, but the core message is simple:

Satan is defeated, and Christ reigns.

So why does Satan still attack?

A defeated enemy has only one strategy:to drag down as many people as possible with him.

But this truth remains firm:there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

Satan may harass us,but he cannot destroy us.

Why?Because he has already been defeated.

Then comes the Great White Throne judgment. This is not symbolism. This is eternal reality.

3. The Beginning of the New Creation (Revelation 21–22)

But thanks be to God,the story does not end with judgment.

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth…”

God does not repair the world—He recreates it entirely.

The story that began in Genesis is completed in Revelation.

Eden becomes the New Jerusalem. The tree of life, once closed, is opened again. The curse is completely removed.

Why?

Because God Himself dwells with His people.

There will be no more death,no more mourning,no more crying or pain.

Not because circumstances have changed, but because God’s presence fills everything.

4. The City of Glory and Our Future (Revelation 21–22)

The New Jerusalem is a city of radiant glory.

But the most astonishing truth is this:“I saw no temple in the city.”

Why?

Because the Lord God Almightyand the Lamb are its temple.

There is no night. There is no darkness.

And we are not merely residents of heaven—we will reign with Him.

5. The Final Invitation (Revelation 22:12–17)

Revelation does not end with a warning. It ends with an invitation.

“Behold, I am coming soon.”

Here, “soon” does not mean quickly in time, but suddenly—at an unexpected moment.

And the final cry is this:

“Come.”

Without cost.Without conditions.

Let anyone who is thirsty come.

Not because you are righteous enough. Not because you are fully prepared.

But because it is grace.

I want to ask you three questions today:

1.  Is your name written in the Book of Life?

2.  If Jesus were to come today, would you be ready?Any repentance or obedience you are postponing—do it now.

3.  Are you inviting others to come to the Lord?

Christ has won.We are not on the losing side, but on the side of victory.

Hallelujah.

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it,because the time is near.” (Revelation 1:3)

Amen.
