Faith and Deeds

God desires that our faith not remain merely in religious forms or rituals, but that His Word leads us to actions rooted in love and compassion, producing lasting fruit. Faith without deeds cannot bring transformation of character or bear fruit in life; therefore, it becomes a dead faith.
God’s law and His Word enable us to realize and understand His truth. Thus, we must live a life that experiences, understands, and learns His Word. Yet it should not end there. Remembering that our salvation is entirely by God’s grace, we are called to care for one another in our weaknesses, to encourage each other, and to serve one another in love. Through such a life, we walk the path of the Gospel that our Lord has walked and build up the Church and community, the Body of Christ.
We reap what we sow. God is not deceived by a faith without action. Therefore, we must run the race of faith to the very end and not lose heart while doing good.
Although we do not rely on our own righteousness or ability, a sincere heart, commitment, and obedience to the Lord are essential.
May we all, by following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, live such a life of faith, bear the fruits of life, and ultimately bring a rich harvest before the Lord. Amen.
